The Suffolk Public School system provide students an extensive curriculum with 12 elementary, four middle, and three high schools - each committed to teaching learners the skills to become successful and productive members of society. Higher learning opportunities located within the city of Suffolk include two community colleges - Paul D. Camp Community College and Tidewater Community College - that offer associate degrees in several fields of study. The Hampton Roads region also provides 11 more colleges and universities to choose from for those wanting to stay close to home.

There is a lot to do in Suffolk - it's just a matter of deciding what you feel like doing! Bennett's Creek Park and Boat Ramp offers free boat ramps to the public, tennis courts, nature trails, fishing, and open fields while Davis Lakes and Campground provides fun for the whole family with nature trails, swimming, fishing, nearly 140 campsites and much more. There is also a variety of golf courses and equestrian facilities throughout the region. For the extremists, skydiving is available at Skydive Suffolk, Inc. which is located at the Suffolk Municipal Airport.
Suffolk's relaxed downtown setting is a great place for spending time with family and friends.
